Wasn't that hungry, but my buddy wanted breakfast before we headed up the hill for a weekend of fishing . Checked Yelp for highly rated suggestions. I decided on oatmeal that morning. Long cooked to perfection. Btw, buddy was very satisfied, will come by again when in the area...

This place is awesome wonderful staff and great food 10/10 . The Christmas tamales were excellent and great to taste. It had a bit of spice but not too much for a breakfast dish . The mimosas comes with a personal bottle of champagne which I like so you could pour to your taste yummm

If you want an oak smoked turkey, crepe, stuffed with cream cheese, house, smoked turkey, topped with creamy mushroom and green onion sauce, this is the place! Looks exactly like the picture they advertise it with. The ambience is smalltown America while the food taste high-end restaurant. The service is impeccable and they do not hurry you on your way so you can sit and eat and drink coffee and spend time with friends and family. The servings are so big. I always end up having to have a box to take some home.

First time in Bakersfield, decided to try this diner right by downtown. I was blown away by the menu and the service of the staff. Very warm inviting energy, and the food was amazing. I got the steak and eggs, and our family got a few other things. The pancakes were out of this world. Great place for breakfast

Went on a Monday morning and parking was a breeze and we were seated and served immediately! If you can, skip the crazy weekend lines! I had the delicious pumpkin pancakes with a side of 1 egg and bacon. The salty to sweet ratio was perfect. I know they have the pumpkin pancakes year round but I haven't been in a long time and it was October and it just felt festive and wonderful. My friend had a seasonal omelet that was a foodies dream with a European name I can't even pronounce. She loved every bite. We will be back on a week day only lol

Was recommended to try this place out and was not disappointed! The service was fast and friendly. The place was super clean and radiated old school diner vibes. Orders: Breakfast beef stew: LOVED this. A hearty stew with a poached egg. It was super filling. I could only finish half. Pan fried trout and eggs: Had to try this dish because lots of people were ordering it. Definitely glad we did! A nice portion of crispy fish, hash browns, and eggs any way you want them. Would order again. Spicy Bloody Mary: good if you like this sorta thing! They put Tabasco in it, which gave it a nice kick. The biscuits were made on a big sheet pan and came with a nice side of gravy. Pretty good! Not too dry. Overall, I'd like to come back and try more things on the menu. We had a great first experience! The only down side was that the parking lot was pretty small.
